Yeah, as soon as I get the chance to go to LA/Kaineng I'll start running a triple heat build. I've also got a beginner SF bar working, but I don't know if I like how energy intensive that is. Once I get a ways into Factions I'll probably put together an Earth and a Water bar, too. I know Earth is probably gonna use a 20% enchant mod since there are a lot of defensive enchantments, and relatively few spam spells (correct me if I'm wrong).
And yeah, I know this question has probably been asked to death, but like I said before, I usually run melee, so I never really worried about different weapon sets. I probably should different ones for utility, but it seems like in most cases the standards (zealous/fortitude for sins, furious or sundering/fortitude for warriors) is generally alright.

i use a triple heat build a lot also, but echoing SH still does a lot more damage than either of the other heats if you can keep enemies in the AoE. still if i'm running SH i also take at least one of the other heats. and i completely forgot about [[ebon battle standard of wisdom]. thx.
the SF bar is very energy intensive and spammable which gets a lot of people into trouble. [[glowing gaze] [[fire att] and [[glyph of lesser] definitely come in handy with that bar also. mes secondary with an energy stealing interrupt also can some in handy with that one. it's the only bar in GW imo that requires 3-4 E management skills to be effective, which kind of means it isn't that effective.

I'm surprised that no one has yet mentioned that you need a bow for PvE. Every character should have a longbow/flatbow for pulling.
Beyond that, I'd probably suggest a spear/shield defense set you can switch to if you come under fire.
I generally consider a staff to be an alternative to a wand/focus, and choose one or the other based on which one provides the best mod combination for my build.

A bow isn't really something for the Weaponset on an Ele..really. It's something you equip on the very odd occaision that you can't just run at the mob, roll your face on the keyboard and win.

I disagree with that. Shocking Bow String + Conjure Lightning + Barrage = awesome.

Not stickied, but it's been part of my series of epic threads:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...1&page=1&pp=20
But it really didn't have any useful information about sets outside of the 40/40 and 40/20/20 though
The monk guide is where I have the sets and explanations. It works for all casters with enchs.

currently i'm using a swift staff of enchanting. and an adept staff of enchanting. the swift has an aptitude not attitude inscrip and the adept has a 10% recharge inscrip.
can someone tell me if this is good? i run a fire and an air build with the two.
currently i have only proph and eotn. Can someone explain to me what went sour with searing flames after eotn came out?

nothing went sour with it. it just doesn't work on destroyers. they are immune to burning and have high resistence to fire damage. [[searing flames] only does damage when something is already on fire.
if i were you i would stick with one of the weapon sets mentioned in this thread. it also depends on your build, but generally a 40/40 set or a 40/20/20 staff is best for eles.
imo stormlord alex hit the nail on the head a few posts up.
